Atlas Equator Acromatic RCA Subwoofer Interconnect

Equator Acromatic RCA Subwoofer is a high-performance subwoofer cable with a fast, dynamic, controlled sound. Available in 1:1 and 1:2 configurations. The 1:2 version utilises OCC conductors with a screened 4 core construction.

Today’s sophisticated subwoofers for both audio and home cinema installations demand fast, accurate low frequency performance free of external RF (radio frequency) and EM (electro-magnetic) interference and noise picked up by the cable itself (usually heard as hum).

The Equator Achromatic’s conductor is now high purity OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper encased with a superbly constructed double screen to provide maximum resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), helping make it perfectly suited to use with high-performance subwoofers in audio and/or home theatre systems.

The Atlas Equator range includes subwoofer, interconnect, streaming and speaker cables.

Technology

• Acromatic RCA Connector – The Achromatic RCA is a low-mass, non-compression, constant impedance, self-cleaning, solder-free construction plug.
• OCC Copper Conductor- OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process was developed by Professor Ohno, from the Chiba Institute of Technology, to manufacture a very high purity single grain copper or silver. There are only a handful of companies in the world manufacturing via this method.
• PEF Dielectric- Foamed Polyethylene. The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product.
• Co-Ax Construction – Central conductor (signal path) surrounded by dielectric material encased within a circular conducting screen which acts as the signal return path.
